If you or I went to a bank with a business proposition to invest $1,600,000 from the bank into a driving range, we would have to present a business plan.
As taxpayers, we would like to see this business plan that shows the City of Worcester:
- the annual payments on $1,600,000
- annual payments to maintain the range itself (labor, balls, etc)
- corresponding revenue estimates
We honestly can not see any scenario that this range will return $100,000 to $200,000 in revenues to the City of Worcester. Please someone get this business plan. If you take into account the payments on $1,600,000 and the other expenses, the range will be have hard time to just break even.
