Some people have made comments that they do not want to lose the golf course.  Neither do we.  At the same time, we do not feel that this should be a drain

on the finances on the City of Worcester losing over 1.3 million the past ten years.    We should put the course out to bid and see what golf management companies would pay to take over the management of Green Hill.    Currently the Town of Auburn has a management company (Johnson Golf) that pays them $50,000 per year to run Pakachoag.

Twenty plus years SWIP (South Worcester Industrial Park) has been on the drawing and we have not created one job or one dollar of real estate taxes.   Put out an RFP looking for development proposals and the City of Worcester will deed to property for one dollar.  If the underlying project is not completed per the terms of the RFP within one year of transfer, the property reverts back to the City of Worcester.’

We would file both of these under “what do we have to lose?”
