…. And counting!!!

It never ceases to amaze me the level of debauchery the human condition can lower itself to. As if we are not horrified enough at the latest re-setting of the bar, we seem to find new ways to dig the hole to our own destruction even deeper.  We can talk about the false flag of running out of landfill space. We can extoll the virtues of recycling. We can blame industry on our poisoned air and water (even though America has the toughest standards). Yet, we fail to address the most basic point of impact where pollution comes from… US!

If we choose to live as a society of sloth and free hand outs then we will reap what we sow in a society that is devoid of responsibility. The, ” Its not my problem.” mentality leads us to what I have been filming since last November. A trash dump nation. We can decry all we want about white privilege society, clean cut lawns, rolling parks and side streets but we must ask ourselves: Why do the lesser elements of society just live… Like this? What is missing? How does not having the same socio-economic placement on the ladder excuse turning your neighborhood into a trash dump? Does your status as a poor, non-white community exclude you from getting outside and keeping your street clean? Your children see this and act accordingly.

I grew up poor as dirt but I would never (ever) let my front yard, sidewalk, street look like this.

What is sad is this can be solved easily. We have unemployed Americans, homeless Americans who live RIGHT HERE! Who could do that work and build a better way of life. Even the churches on these streets could activate the community! The city/state could help, put money aside and solve this problem. Once solved the community would act and WANT to make things better. Maybe instead of spending 20 million dollars on a renovation on Beacon Hill, we could take that money and round up the homeless and put them back to work and give them an incentive  (and pay) so they can give back, rise up and lift themselves from their current status. We can put that money into local groups who are doing what I am doing so we can activate the citizenry to become involved. The local neighborhoods can do this themselves if we give them the tools to do so.

The only asterisk of this idea is?… Will they? From what I have seen in all 8 parts.. I am not sure…
