Last week after midnight, I learned what was meant by “deer in the headlights” when a heard of deer (about 6) were literally standing frozen in the street on Salisbury Street. Only beeping my horn would make them move. Last night a deer darted across in the very same section, narrowly missing it. Beware of this dark section of Salisbury Street between Whisper Drive and Spring Valley, which was known already for wild turkeys.
