Last night flight inbound from Fort Lauderdale diverted to Boston due to weather and not all the runway lights were operating properly. Since this flight was diverted, this morning outbound to Fort Lauderdale departed from Boston. It was not ferried into Worcester–not sure why.
Overall this has been the first problem that I can remember at ORH in some time. If you travel, you expect things like this to happen. What bothers me, however, is that it still does not seem like we have a plan in place to help passengers when they are diverted to Boston.
I do not see how hard it is to hard ground transportation there in a relatively short time, within an hour of landing, and people are brought back to Worcester.
