The New England Patriots won three Super Bowls in four seasons from 2001 to 2004. With the last pick in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft– the result of defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in the prior Super Bowl- the Patriots “chose little known guard Logan Mankins of Fresno State,” according to USA Today.
