A group of wild turkeys took a shine to a Worcester Police cruiser parked outside of the Mercadante Funeral Home of Plantation Street Sunday night while an officer was working a detail.
WORCESTER – A group of wild turkeys took a shine to a Worcester Police cruiser parked outside of the Mercadante Funeral Home of Plantation Street Sunday night while an officer was working a detail.
The turkeys refused to leave the cruiser so the officer escorted them to the woods nearby. The cruiser slowly drove on Plantation Street with the turkeys following it while drivers in the area stopped or slowly passed the officer. The turkeys made it safely out of traffic.
