You may have learned recently that our company has been involved in some legal matters. Yesterday, company co-owner Rob McCullough pleaded guilty to income tax related charges. On Monday of this week co-owner Bill McCullough pleaded guilty to similar charges. Former company official Gary Davis was also in court for a plea hearing on similar charges.
This comes to assure you that at all times Harpers has met our financial obligations to you our customers, and that this will continue. Our company has never been charged. The actions represent those of individuals who are taking responsibility for their acts. Harpers is financially sound and fully prepared to continue all operations. The last of the transgressions occurred in 2012. Since then the company has taken a number of steps to ensure this will not happen again.
At this time, a significant portion of what is owed to the Internal Revenue Service has been repaid. Full restitution will be complete in the near future. Please know this will not affect our commitment to serving you with the highest quality customer care and continuing to meet all of our financial obligations to you.
This matter is still in litigation. We have posted a news release on our website (www.harperspayroll.com) and will make further information available to you as we can.
Sincerely,
Harpers Payroll Services
