Maybe you have been downtown and seen these signs and assumed that you did not have to put money in the meter. Well, you would be wrong and would get a ticket. Note the word “WEEKEND”.
Now look at the meter, you need to pay for parking Monday-Friday 8AM to 6PM. In other words weekend parking is already “FREE” downtown all year, never mind just between Nov 28th and Dec 28th???
Are we missing something??
