Young Heroes Recognition Night 2014

 

Children’s Smile Coalition’s Annual Young Heroes Recognition Night was great success as 12 children from Worcester County were honored for giving back to their community. Hosted by WTAG’s Jim Polito, this banquet and award young heroes 2014ceremony was attended by families and friends of those being honored, as well as Mayor Joseph Petty. Noah Lis, a contestant on season 6 of The Voice entertained the crowd during cocktail hour and dinner.

Each year CSC chooses several children in the Central MA area to receive this award. They are chosen because of their involvement in the community and their desire to help others.

This year’s recipients of the Young Hero award are Rachel Ansah, Tiana Felix, Grant Hauver, Shalitmar Perez and Luis Portillo. They each received a citation from Governor Patrick and Congressman McGovern, a Key to the City of Worcester, a CSC Young Hero Award and a Samsung Galaxy tablet.

Honorable mentions include Ava D’Eon, Chloe D’Eon, Lauren Fleury, Olivia Gallo, Devin Grimley, Rachel Hinckley, Mia Losey and Katerina Zahariadis. They each received a citation form Governor Patrick and Congressman McGovern and a $25 gift card.
