Arnold Palmer Airport in Latrobe, Pennsylvania is very similar to Worcester Airport. Secondary Northeast city with no commercial service a few years back either.
That all changes in February, 2011 when Spirit started service to Fort Lauderale. Since that time they have added Orlando (May, 2011),Myrtle Beach (May, 2012) and Dallas (June, 2013). Through April of this year, they have had 81,000 passengers.
Dallas, however, did not have enough passengers and was cut

In December for they will be adding Fort Myers (3x per week) and Tampa (4x per week) for the Winter Season. This pattern gives us a good road map of what we may expect for Worcester and shows that an airline like Spirit must be looking at ORH.
