In 2000, JetBlue started with one flight and today they have 65 departures from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) . The plan is to grow that to 100 by 2017. Hopefully we can copy that growth during our first 14 years with JetBlue.
I bring this up, since a flight from Worcester to FLL can be alot more then just a flight to FLL. Although the marketing has stepped up dramatically the past month with JetBlue, we need to do a better job advertising that Worcester is more then just Florida. You have the ability to connect to:
- Nassau
- Punta Cana
- Santo Domingo
- San Juan
- Bridgetown
- Montego Bay
- Bogota
On Thursday JetBlue made it even easier by adding three more routes from Fort Lauderdale:
- Port of Spain in Trinidad & Tobago
- Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic
- Montego Bay in Jamaica
The once-daily flights will depart Fort Lauderdale at 7 a.m.; 11:05 a.m. and 12:17 p.m. respectively based on current schedules. SunSentinal story.
