Editor’s note: Sorry Jose, I meant to post last night..
After my last rumor post, thought I would update on what is happening:
Before last nights friendly Roma vs Liverpool, Roma’s president James Pallota (from Boston, also minority owner of Celtics) said that a deal to bring in an American is in the near future but gave no name. Of course everyone knew it meant DeAndre Yedlin since Roma were trying to sign him. Well today, from a Seattle Sounders blog, a deal to Roma is done for 5 million dollars, and since Roma has already registered their non-EU players (rules on amount of non European born/citizens per league rules) Yedlin will be loaned back to Seattle until the end of the 2014 season. NONE OF THIS IS CONFIRMED, NOT UNTIL MLS SAYS IT IS DONE!!! Want to stress that part out. stay tuned
Kansas city’s Matt Besler was linked to about 10 clubs mostly in England, but earlier this week he and team-mate Graham Zusi both resigned new deals to stay in Kansas City. Although it is good they both decided to stay, which is good for the team and league, you also got to think that it would be better for the national team, going over seas and playing in a better league. But with out knowing the what kind of contracts they both turned down to stay here, maybe it is better that they did stay. Besides, no one ever said those teams couldn’t up their offers and contract terms.
Omar Gonzalez for now will still be a LA Galaxy player. Looks like for now nothing will happen, but the European transfer window is still open until end of August.
A report from Argentina is linking our New England Revolution’s Honduran international Jerry Bengtson to Argentinian club Belgrano. At this point he has been a total bust here in New England. With the current losing streak and lack of goal scoring from anyone, might as well get what you can for him and sell him. I have also seen rumors, tweets suggesting that the revs are trying to sign or loan in someone. One rumor has former Revs striker Juan Agudelo maybe coming back, but this is just a rumor.

Former MLS and USA international Demarcus Beasly is coming home, this time to Houston. Welcome home.
Frank Lampard from Chelsea and England will be signing with new MLS club New York city FC, along side with David Villa from Spain. At 36 years old and not scheduled to begin league play until next year, not sure how much he will be able to offer. He will be turning 37 next summer.
