As far as we can tell three have ECHL teams lined up

  1. Manchester:  Kings ECHL team
  2. Norfolk:   Oilers ECHL team      Bakersfield Condors
  3. Adirondack:   Flames are buying ECHL team in Stockton and moving them here
  4. Portland
  5. Worcester
  6. Oklahoma City:  ceasing operations after this season
  7. Cleveland:   have one year left in their lease with the Avalanche but they need to start looking for and ECHL team also.

The biggest problem for Worcester, or for that matter Portland and Oklahoma City, to find a replacement for next season is that season ticket drives for next season start right about now.   Next year Cleveland will also be looking for a team.

Assuming Manchester, Norfolk and Adirondack go as planned, they are in position to sell tickets now for next season.    If Worcester has a contingency plan, it needs to start ASAP if we are to have an ECHL team here next season.
