The Revolution travel to Houston for a Thursday night match vs the Dynamo of Houston. The game is set for a 8pm start and will be televised nationally on ESPN2. After tying Montreal last week, the Revs secured their 2nd straight playoff spot. They are currently tied with Kansas city for the 2nd seed, but have won more games so they own the tie breaker. Despite clinching a playoff spot do expect the Revs to go for the win, as they should vs Houston. They currently sit 7 points out of a playoff spot and will without a doubt miss the playoffs.
It will be curious to see if Jermaine Jones plays Thursday night. He played 90 minutes for team USA against Honduras Tuesday, as a center back on defense in an experiment by manager Jurgen Klinnsman. I wouldn’t be surprised if Revs manager Jay Heaps starts Jones on the bench to give him rest and see if they can manage without him for the game.
