WORCESTER — A 51-year-old clerk at the Edgemere Mini-Mart was shot in the leg during a robbery Saturday after a masked man entered the store and told the man to hand over cash.
Police were called to the store located at 288 Mill St. around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers found the clerk on the floor with a gunshot wound to his leg. The clerk was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
