The reestablishment of diplomatic ties between U.S. and Cuba earlier this year has drawn a number of U.S. officials, looking for trade opportunities, to the communist country. But Massachusetts is taking it slow, with Gov. Charlie Baker's economic development chief Jay Ash assigning a "low-level" official to the topic.
