Please be aware that State Representative Kate Campanale and I are co-hosting a meeting of area residents, business owners, community organizations and other interested parties to provide complete information and to introduce the owner of a proposed medical marijuana dispensary in City Council District 5. The medical marijuana dispensary is coming along nicely with dispensary supplies already being brought in. An opening date will be confirmed shortly.
The first medical marijuana dispensary in Massachusetts opened in Salem recently, nearly three years after voters overwhelmingly approved the drug’s therapeutic use. It is owned and operated by Alternative Therapies Group. Marijuana dispensaries like this marijuana dispensary florida, are becoming extremely popular for people needing marijuana for medical reasons. With the opening of a new dispensary, there are still many hurdles that they will have to face, for example, ensuring that they adhere to the rules and regulations of the state, and ensuring that they are compliant within their license operate, etc. The new dispensary will also be searching for equipment, employees, and systems such as these pos systems for dispensaries in order to run optimally. The one proposed for D-5 in Worcester would be owned and operated by Holy Cross graduate and area resident, John Glowik, and his company, Prime Wellness of Massachusetts, Inc. Mr. Glowik already operates a similar dispensary in South Windsor, CT. For more information, their website is: http://primewellnessofct.com/
The now-vacant building being proposed for this dispensary is the former Friendly’s Restaurant at 580 Park Avenue (near Lovell St.). Most recently, this was the site of the Hungry Coyote restaurant.
The community meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4 @ 6 PM in S121 Hall of the Sackler Science Building at Clark University.
Please feel free to forward this email to others who might be interested in attending.
Thank you.
