The New England Revolution tied Toronto Fc last week at home. This was their second tie in a row to a sub .500 team. Even though both ties extended the teams current unbeaten streak, which is now at 9 games, 5 wins 4 ties, both ties feel like losses. The game versus Orlando more so than against Toronto because against Orlando, the Revs had a 2-0 lead with 15 minutes to go. Team captain Jose Goncalves returned to the lineup against Toronto after missing several weeks with a muscular issue. Here is some of his thoughts after the Toronto match:
when asked how team stays prepared with game Wednesday and Saturday:
“Forget about this game very, because the game on Wednesday is coming up very fast and it’s a tough one. It’s a team looking for points also. And then we turn around very fast (DC game Saturday) Everyone is a little but unhappy at not being able to score that second goal and get the win. But we must move on, that’s how a great team reacts, a good result will make everything better”
when asked how Jozy early departure changed the game:
“It was early in the match, so we couldn’t see much of the team. It may of changed for them because they are used to playing with him, but for us it was the same tactics. Before the game we were ready with him or without, it doesn’t change anything for us.”
