As New England sports fans, we are always looking forward to the next team who could bring home another title to Boston. With September coming to an end and October staring, MLB is starting their postseason run, and sadly the Redsox wont be defending their title. The New England Patriots got destroyed by the Kansas City Chiefs 42-14, dropping the Pats to 2-2 for the year. Many people would agree they are not looking too good right now overall. Even though it is still early in the season, I fear this season may get ugly. Tankapaloza burned the C’s yet again, and it might look like they might be in for another long season of losing. Bruins season is about to start up again soon, even though it is mostly the same team and have salary cap issues, I think most B’s fans have high expectations this season. Of all the sports teams for the “big 4” sports the Bruins look most likely. As a soccer fan, I do have an issue with this.
Boston has always done well with tv ratings for soccer, especially during this summers world cup. Boston was ranked as one of the top cities in all of America, and yet the New England Revolution continue to struggle to find some kind of recognition from the major media outlets here.
Now I am not putting the cart before the horse here. They still need to qualify for the playoffs, and with 4 games left this season, no eastern conference team has yet secured a spot. But with this subject on my mind, what are the Revs chances of winning the MLS cup this season? I’m curious to see what other area Revs/sports fans think of their chances?
