A few months ago the WPD started cracking down on drivers on Lincoln St, click for video.
I applaud this. I also wonder why are they also not cracking down on the pedestrians ignoring crosswalks and crossing just feet away? They should also be reminded that if a walk light is there, they must wait for said sign. Pedestrians do have the right of way, but they also need to follow the rules like the drivers.
Drivers do need the slap in the head reminding us that our vehicles are being allowed to use the city streets, it is not a right. Pedestrians need to be reminded that the vehicles in the road can be killing machines if you just walk in front of them.
