The losing streak continues, now at eight games, one short of the team record set in 1997-98. During this streak the Revs have only been able to score four goals. Looking at all the negative reactions on Twitter, #NERevs, it is clear that the fan frustration is at an all-time high.
It’s going to a massive signing, a SSS announcement or hiring a DOF for the @NERevolution to get fans excited again. #NERevs

It’s starting to look like the ONLY way org restores faith of fans is if #NERevs can find a way to acquire both Jermaine Jones & Agudelo.

The frustration at the Kraft ownership goes beyond the team on the field and has only been compounded with this losing streak. Here are some questions that are being asked:
- How much longer will manager Jay Heaps stay in charge?
- And when will the Revs front office make a move to bring in players?
- Better question is what trade, signing can the Revs do that will improve this roster?
- Former Revs forward Juan Agudelo is available after his club team Stoke City of the English Premier League released him, after failing for a 2nd time to get a work permit for him.
- Weeks ago the Revs were linked to Brazilian forward Robinho, but nothing come from that. He is still linked to Orlando City.
- And if the Revs do fire Heaps, who do you hire to take over? Someone with little to no experience? Sadly this is how most Revs fans feel about the type of moves they will make. Now for the game itself .
The first 20-25 minutes did look good for the Revs, who had most of the attacking, scoring chances and many corner kicks. Teal Bundbury and Diego Fagundez each had a good attacking move into the penalty area, but neither resulted with shots on target. Left back Chris Tierney went down with a left knee injury and was replaced by Darius Barnes. At about 30 minutes mark to the end of the first half, Columbus began to push higher up and had a scoring chance by Bernardo Anor just a few feet wide from the post. In the 43rd minute, the Crew broke the deadlock with beautiful free kick near the Revs penalty area by Federico Higuain. Revs goalie Bobby Shuttleworth had no chance to make the save.
After the restart of the 2nd half, the Revs did finally tie the game. Kelyn Rowe crossed in a corner kick that defender AJ Soares was able to head in, beating the man who was marking him. On 2 occasions the Revs were able to prevent the Crew from scoring on corner kicks. First time was a back heel dribbler that got passed Shuttleworth, but Lee Nguyen, who was covering the far post, was there to stop it on the line. Second time it was Diego Fagundez, on back to back corner kicks, covering the near post, was there to prevent the goals from happening. In the 84th minute Finlay buries a break away shot passed keeper Bobby Shuttleworth, the defense left Bobby with little chance to make a save. Finlay made a run in between defenders Jose Goncalves and Darius Barnes, and a perfectly time pass was made, leaving Barnes behind him. 2-1 was your final result.
Lastly thanks to the Revs for the press pass!!
@WorcesterHerald my opinion? new manager with big time experience (Bob Bradley is my choice former USA Manager 07-11) and a DP signing
