The New England Revolution hosted Seattle over the weekend. Playing in their third match in eight days, the Sounders were certainly tired, and didn’t play much, trying to get a win. Despite this, the Revs also couldn’t muster up much of an attack, ending in a 0-0 bore draw.

The Sounders are not having a good season. They are currently ten points outside a play off spot. Their manager, Brian Schmetzer, apologized post match for the way they played, but stated it was necessary, following a midweek match in Colorado. But the Revs failed to capitalize and add further distance between themselves and Montreal, who currently hold the last playoff spot.

If there are any positives to take away from this match, the Revs kept a clean sheet, their fourth of the season. They didn’t lose the match, and despite dropping two points, they have played one match fewer then the sixth and seventh seated teams in the East.
