Starting this week, if you are a big soccer fan like me, you know you are in for a massive soccer overload. But for die hard fans, this can only be good. If all the soccer rumors about which players is going where in a big money move, who is getting fired or hired didn’t drive us nuts, then all these upcoming games shouldn’t. Many if these games should be available on tv if you have the correct tv package. Foxsports1 will broadcast some of these games like the English FA cup, Revolution v LA, Champions league final. Which game will you be watching?

UEFA Europa League final:

Sevilla (spain) vs Dnipro (Ukraine) Wednesday May 27

UEFA Champions League final:

Barcelona (Spain) vs Juventus (Italy) Saturday June 6

 

FA cup finals Saturday May 30:

England- Arsenal vs Aston Villa 12pm et

Spain-Barcelona vs Atletico Bilbao 3pm et

France-Auxerre vs PSG 3pm et

Germany-Dortmund vs Wolfsburg 2pm et

Sunday May 31:

Portugal-SportingCP vs Braga 12pm et

 

The New England Revolution will play the LA Galaxy in Foxboro this Sunday May 31, 7 pm start, nationally televised game. These two teams met in last season’s cup final where LA won 2-1 in overtime.

 

The FIFA Women’s World Cup starts in a week and half. The Americans will looking for gold again, and some redemption for their finals loss in 2011 against Japan. They play their final tune-up match against South Korea this Saturday May 30, 4:30 pm start. Then on 6/8 they open against Australia, 6/12 Sweden, 6/16 against Nigeria. I will be watching every game that I’m available. LET’S CHEER ON OUR LADY SOCCER STARS AS THEY CHASE THEIR DREAMS!! AND GO USA!!

 

The Men’s National team returns to action this summer. They play two friendlies overseas. 6/5 they travel to Holland and face the Dutch, and on 6/10 against Germany in Germany. Then they compete in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, our regions championship. 7/3 they play Guatemala. Then they open the tournament 7/7 against Honduras, 7/10 in Foxboro against Haiti, 7/13 against Panama.

 

From 6/11-7/4, South America will have their regional championship, Copa America.

This weekend is also the start of the FIFA under-20 World Cup. Team USA will be competing in it. 5/30 they play Myanmar, 6/2 against hosts New Zealand, 6/5 against Ukraine. This will be in New Zealand, so I’m still not sure about the start times here.
