WPI pool
In 1978 South High School opened its current location and from Day 1, the pool has never worked correctly. Now this political season there seems to be a push, after 35 years, a push to make the pool operational. MassLive story here.
If the City of Worcester was flush with cash and did not have a one BILLION dollar OPEN and pension deficit then this may make sense, but this is not the case maybe we should take advantage of all the non-profit assets that we have in the City of Worcester.

- YMCA Main Street
- YMCA Greendale
- Worcester Fitness
- YWCA
- Clark University
- Holy Cross
- Assumption
There are probably more then escape us right now.
Having a strong Worcester High School program is a good idea but we can use the pools in place now to reach this goal without having to spend millions at South High School.
