jetBlue dual operations June 25, 2014_045Airlines are very secretive as to what information that they will share. If you go on the JetBlueBestFareFinder site, you can get some indication as to tickets sales based on the available seats:

  1. To Orlando seats available next 3 days 11-5-13=29
  2. To Fort Lauderdale seats available the next 3 days 6-13-7=26
  3. Total seats =600
  4. Total available=55
  5. Load = 90.80% load

Recently we have heard people complaining that ticket prices are slightly highly then surrounding airports, please consider the following:

  1. no traffic
  2. no tunnels
  3. no tolls
  4. parking (7/day or 41/week)
  5. easy walk from parking lot to terminal (500 yards at the longest)
  6. easy check-in through security (maybe 15 minutes at the most)

Keep in mind that this is peak season and we only have one flight or 100 seats per day to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. If you want to the last second when the flights are 90% sold, your tickets will be higher.    Book early to get the best possible price.

Remember the only thing holding us back right now it an upgraded landing system (CAT III) to help us deal with the fog that plagues Worcester Airport.   It is not an access road or name change, but CAT III that is dearly needed and being worked on by Massport.  Once that happens, we expect more service to come to ORH.
