Worcester, MA—On Worcester’s Shrewsbury Street, colloquially known as “Restaurant Row”, great food is abundant—which is why the restaurants residing on it are always in heavy competition. flying rhinoReferred to as “the anchor of Shrewsbury Street” by Chronicle in a recent feature, Flying Rhino Café and Watering Hole is living up to that accolade it’s seasonal menu change, new prime rib specials, and the addition of Sunday brunch.

Flying Rhino is known for their creative dishes, fronted by Executive Chef Christopher O’Harra, and their seasonal offerings are no different. The new fall menu features a Fowl Balls appetizer that is a serving of cocktail turkey meatballs with Maytag Bleu Cheese, fig jam, and a fresh arugula gremolata. Other options include Hazelnut Pork Tenderloin and Portabello Quinoa Sliders. Pair the meal with a Salted Caramel Martini, and all of these comfort foods will warm guests’ bellies and souls.

Of course, along with the new autumn menu, Flying Rhino is keeping their staples—like their salmon burger and the popular Ivory Tusk sandwich. “Some people like to stick to what they know, but for the more adventurous, I want to make each season a unique experience,” said Chef Christopher O’Harra.  A weekly Sunday prime rib special has also been added to this season. But like everything they do, Flying Rhino isn’t just serving regular prime rib. Guests also have options to order the Dry-Aged Choice Black Angus beef Cajun grilled or surf and turf style. These prime rib specials can be taken advantage of every Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sunday Brunch is another addition for fall, and it occurs every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The menu features five breakfast entrees to choose from, each with a “Rhino” twist. These include Breakfast Potato Nachos, cranberry cream cheese-stuffed French toast, and Salmon Cake Benedict. Plus, there are plenty of Watering Hole selections beyond a typical mimosa or Bloody Mary. Those are on the menu too—but the more unique choices, like the Surf & Turf Bloody Mary made with homemade beef jerky and a jumbo grilled shrimp or a Breakfast Shot are what makes this brunch like no other.

The only way to see what all the hype is about is to visit Flying Rhino for yourself. It is located on 278 Shrewsbury Street.
