Worcester, MA—With the release of her new book, “How Dogs Make Cloud Pictures,” local photographer Sheri Bready is bringing attention and relief to animals at the Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL). WARL is thrilled to be celebrating with Bready by hosting a book release party and signing. The celebration will be held at The Grey Hound Pub on Saturday, November 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Bready has volunteered at the shelter for over a year, using her skills in professional photography to capture the beauty and personality of shelter animals. Her photography has led to increasing attention to WARL’s website, adoption calls and interviews. The book of photographs uses 20 of the WARL shelter dogs as its subject, with part of the proceeds of the novel going to the shelter to, as Bready puts it, “…make the animals’ stay there a little bit better.”

The book is a light-hearted take on how dogs may view the world they share with us, and how they might change it if they could. The cooperation between Bready and WARL is opening up new possibilities for the shelter. “The book really captures the essence of shelter dogs — how deserving they are and what characters they can be,” says Allie Tellier, executive director at WARL. “I really don’t think there’s anything else out there that captures the minds of dogs in such an imaginative way.”

All are encouraged to attend the release party where books will be available for purchase. Books can also be ordered online through Bready’s site, Amazon, or WARL’s website. The Grey Hound Pub can be found in Worcester at 139 Water Street, and will be serving food and drinks at the event. More information on its menu or parking can be found at the pub’s website.
