The New England Revolution take on Toronto FC this weekend. This will be the first game since the BIG signing of the Jermaine Jones, but still don’t know if he will play.

The Revs have now tied and won their last two game, a tie vs Chivas and a win vs Portland. This weeks game vs Toronto is very important because Toronto sits 3 points ahead of the Revs in the standing, with 2 games fewer played, and a win would see them tied, as the Revs still sit 1 point out of a playoff spot. In the current standings NYRB (new York redbulls) are 1 point ahead in the last spot with 31 points , with Columbus and Toronto, both tied at 33 points, 3 points ahead of the Revs, who have 30 points. There are no more easy games going forward. Every game will be like a playoff game. No one knows this better than the players.

Since the signing of USA international Jermaine Jones, who we all saw play in this summers World Cup, there was been a HUGE buzz in the Revs camp, and with good reason. Not only will he be a big boost to the starting XI and hopefully improve this team, but we were very lucky to sign him too. It all came down to a blind draw between the Revs and Chicago. With his signing there has to be a sense of the Revs can now really make a strong playoff push

We are in the final stretch here and the Revs are trying to make a playoff push here. This weekends game will be big as they all will going forward. The Revs did sign other players too. They signed striker Tony Taylor, who played 4 year in Portugal and 1 in Cyprus. Nothing impressive but you hope that his experiences will come in handy during this stretch. They signed striker Geoffrey Castillion, who mostly played 4 years in the Dutch 2nd division on loan from Ajax. Both players are still young and hope that their experiences playing over seas will help boost the attack, although how much playing time they will get is still unknown.
