Worcester boy simulates shooting playmate using toy gun purchased at city event

Guns are not toys and children should never be taught that they are. Yet that is exactly what happened at this year’s city-sponsored Independence Day festivities at East Park on July 5th. Guns are very serious and if you are thinking of purchasing one then it should be used properly and safely, you may want to have a look at https://outdoorempire.com/best-gun-belts/ to go with your gun after reading this article but please make sure it is legal in your country. The primary use of any gun should be self-defense and they need to be stored properly in a safe place. it should go without saying that storing firearms is no laughing matter.

City-approved sidewalk vendors were seen selling authentic-looking M16 toy rifles to young children as they entered the park. Talk about mixed messages. If these same kids ever took their new guns to show and tell at a city school, they would face immediate expulsion. So why did the city permit the sale of M16s to young children at a city-sponsored event?

And oh boy were these guns popular with the kids! Even many of the little girls preferred the guns over all the other toys and the reason is obvious: guns have become the biggest forbidden fruit in today’s society and kids very often will gravitate toward the forbidden.

But guns are serious, adult business and permitting the sale of toy firearms to children only confuses young minds and generates a safety hazard.

  • How many children have tragically played with real guns believing they were toys?
  • How many cops have shot innocent kids believing a toy gun to be real?
  • Why not start selling play-time prescription pain killers to kids while we are at it?

And it is all too easy to imagine the same officials who saw no problem whatsoever with selling M16s to young children being first to point their own itchy fingers at the 2nd amendment and responsible gun owners if tragedy strikes. Anyone wanting to fully understand their rights when it comes to gun control can visit a site like gunlawsuits.org and see how the 2nd amendment works in legal practice. Those who truly value the 2nd amendment understand the risks inherent in promoting play guns.

But the real question here is why?

  • What made the ultra-taboo mixture of kids and guns suddenly acceptable this July 4th?
  • Why didn’t a single public official say boo about it?

Answer:

After 13 years of militarizing America, our left-right political class is now using our traditional Independence Day celebrations to push big-government, pro-military worship on our youth, complete with stirring war music over loudspeakers and (utterly useless) state police jack boots roaming the crowds with all-too-real firearms strapped to their puffed out chests. Something for the impressionable young kids to aspire to… It is time that we the people took back our Independence. Here in Worcester we can start by passing the Restoring Constitutional Governance (RCG) resolution before the end of the year.
